Taiwanese-American violinist Yun-Ting Lee is a member of The Cleveland Orchestra second violin section. He received his B.M. and M.M. from the Cleveland Institute of Music, where he was a recipient of the Dr. Bennett Levine Memorial Award in Chamber Music. His principal teachers were William Preucil, David Updegraff, Phyllis Skoldberg, and David Cerone. Yun-Ting has appeared as soloist with the Phoenix Symphony, National Repertory Orchestra, Spoleto USA Orchestra, and has been a winner in the Music Academy of the West and CIM concerto competitions. He has also performed chamber music with members of the Juilliard, Cavani, and Tokyo String Quartets.
Mr. Lee has served as concertmaster for the Spoleto USA and CIM Orchestras. He also performed as guest concertmaster for Symphony Orchestra Augusta in Georgia in the fall of 2011. Yun-Ting was a member of the Minnesota Symphony Orchestra, Canton Symphony and CityMusic Cleveland. He is an alumnus of the New York String Orchestra Seminar, Holland International Music Sessions, Meadowmount, Encore School for Strings, and the Pacific Music Festival. For the 2011-2012 Season, Yun-Ting was a contracted substitute violinist with the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra.
